anonima Sonata per Flauto in Fa maggiore / Sonata for Recorder in F-Major
The "anonima" sonata per flauto in fa maggiore included in this volume:
A copied manuscript of an anonymous recorder sonata is currently preserved in the Biblioteca del Conservatorio di Venezia: I-Vc, Busta 127, n.46. After some research in 2018, the musicians/researchers Inês dAvena and Claudio Ribeiro, discovered the manuscript in this archive and suggested convincingly its vivaldian authorship: the genre, structures and motives suit perfectly Vivaldis habits, and the sonata has several connections with other Vivaldis compositions (RV 11, 19, 20, 72, 178/449, 344, 630, 810).
Seen the extreme simplicity of the bass line in the last movement, it is likely that Vivaldi had to finish the sonata in a rush, so, as we find parallel passages in other compositions, we decided to mention them in this edition to inform the interpreter about some way to diminish this very basic bass line.
